Mt McAviney

Mt McAviney is a hill on the Krungle Bungle Range 1.25km north of Mt Jenolan and 300m west of Cape Cattle Pocket. Mt McAviney was named after one of the ioneer cattle families in the district.

The appoach from Mt Jenolan is down a narrow rocky ridge line similar to those linking Mt Jenolan to Mt Queahgong and Mt Queahgong to Hawk Fell. Below Mt McAviney the landscape changes to grassy slopes under lovely forest.

On a clear day there are some nice views through the trees on Mt McAviney.
