The Wolgan Falls mark the start of the Wolgan Valley.
The Wolgan River plunges over the falls from the portal of a tight twisting canyon into the valley below.
The rock surface under the water appears to be much harder than surrounding rock and is resisting erosion.
There are excellent views of the falls from the pagodas and ravines across the gorge to the north.
