Whalania Heights is a raised area of land east of the Kanangra Range and north of the Krungle Bungle Range.
Large areas were cleared for farming in the 1880s.
The Konangaroo Parish Map of 1890 showed the land owned by the Whalan family. Remains of fences and yards can still be seen in the area.
The cleared areas are only now starting to be reclaimed by some of the hardier native plants.
Whalania Heights is a great spot to camp. Mumbedah Creek is usually a good source of water.
