Valley Of The Dinosaurs

The Valley of the Dinosaurs is a remote sandstone canyon on Genowlan Mountain in the Mugii Murum-ban State Conservation Area (NSW). With towering cliff walls capped with pagoda formations and a floor lined by lush tree ferns, it’s a scenic destination for experienced bushwalkers and landscape explorers.

The Valley Of The Dinosaurs lies about 300 metres north of Genowlan Trig and was formed by a Genowlan Creek tributary. The canyon runs north for about 600 metres.

When I first explored the Valley of the Dinosaurs there were no discernible tracks. Over time, visitors to the valley have formed a clear footpad through the gorge. It can be approached from both the upper plateau and the lower fire trail.
