The Ladders Defile

The Ladders Defile is a narrow sandstone canyon on the eastern side of Mount Genowlan. It has steep walls and dramatic rock features. It provides a shortcut through the eastern cliffline between Point Hatteras & Genowlan Creek.

Rustic iron ladders make a very steep passage down through a pile of rubble much easier than it might have been.

Watch out for the gnomes!
