Rocky Top is a high point between the Morong Creek Fire Trail and Kanangra Pass.
Walks down the Unirover Trail used to start from Rocky Top and follow a 'Tin-tag Trail'.
Most people just drive past Rocky Top on their way to Kanangra Walls and no wonder. If you look carefully you might some of those old tags. The heath looks formidable as you look out the window.
Surprisingly, the heath isn't all that thick. In fact, it is quite easy to walk through.
There is a fantastic variety of plants growing in this area. There are beautiful mosses and lichens. Some of the trees are amazing.
Rocky Top is aptly named. The while area is covered in granite outcrops which run approximately north-south. At a couple of spots, including Petersen Rock, there are terrific views.
