Mt Airly Camp Cave

A small sheltered overhang high on Mt Airly was used as a campsite by someone who appreciated a good view and shelves to store their gear.

Some of their gear is still there - leather laces, a saucepan, a bag of dates, tins of sardines, peas and spam.

Cooking gear and food was stored neatly on a hidden shelf high in the cave. The leather laces were hanging from sticks mounted in the roof of the cave.

The cave was well selected - I've walked past this spot many times without realising it was there.
