Heliolater Point
Helioater Point protrudes from the western cliffs of Mt Barrallier and overlooks Shamash Deep.
There is a large rock platform at Heliolater Point that provides excellent views across Shamash Deep to the Boyd Range as well as Shamash Point and the Temple of the Shining Orb.
Thick heath makes any approch to Heliolater Point extremely difficult but it can be done. A pass through the cliff line just south of Heliolater Point allows an easier approach along the base of the cliffs than through the heath at the top. Regardless, the views are worth the effort.
A 'Sun God' theme appears to have been used when naming some places on Mt Barrallier:
- Shamash was the Sumerian Sun God
- Heliolater is a sun worshipper
- Temple of the Shining Orb
