Carmarthen Ridge runs from the Bell Range to the junction of Carmarthen Brook & Explorers Brook, almost 9 kilometres away.
While the ridge generally runs ESE it changes direction frequently at knolls, usually in thick bush. Careful navigation is needed.
There are excellent views along the ridge but no significant lookouts.
Yerra Crags is at the eastern end of the ridge. Stapylton Crags is at the end of a short spur that leaves the ridge about halfway down to Yerra Crags.
