Airly Basin is a small round hanging valley on the northern side of Gap CreeK, just a short walk from Airly Gap.
The little valley is surrounded on 3 sides by walls of beautiful towering pagodas.
After heavy rain water cascades into the basin from ephemeral waterfalls between the pagodas. The sound of the waterfalls can be clearly heard from the tops of the pagodas. I've never seen water flowing out of the Airly Basin but at times it must.
There are several routes through the pagodas, allowing fairly easy access to Mt Airly.
